Within the Diocese of Portland there are two diocesan operated cemeteries, Calvary Cemetery of South Portland and St. Peter Cemetery of Lewiston, as well as many parish-operated cemeteries.

Below you will find a list of all the cemeteries operating within our diocese, a list of their acreage and the average number of annual burials.

In addition, to help you in funeral planning, the Maine Catholic Cemetery Committee has developed a Catholic Funeral Planning Guide, which includes Bishop Richard Malone's pastoral letter "That we May Have Hope."
