Bishop Deeley to Preside at “Hour of Power” in Portland on Friday

PORTLAND---Bishop Robert P. Deeley will preside over the “Hour of Power” on Friday, December 1, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on 307 Congress Street in Portland. All are welcome to attend.

Held in the chapel on the first Friday of each month, the “Hour of Power” includes vespers, music, and the opportunity for confession. In addition to sharing spiritual reflections with those gathered, Bishop Deeley will lead the group in the exposition and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. This prayer form is a traditional Catholic devotion, the purpose of which is to adore Jesus Christ who is present in the Eucharist.

Though all are invited to the “Hour of Power,” organizers especially encourage young people interested in growing in their relationship with Jesus to attend.
