BANGOR---The Bangor Knights of Columbus, with generous support from the UM Franco American Center, will host the second annual Acadian Soirée on Saturday, September 23, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Anah Shrine Temple on 1404 Broadway in Bangor. All are welcome to attend.
The fun-filled evening will be a celebration of Acadian food, culture, and music. La Famille LeBlanc, a high-energy band from Livermore Falls, will perform at the event, and traditional Acadian dishes will be served, including patates fricassees, tourtières, Pot-En-Pot, ploys, sugar pie, molasses cookies, and more.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children (13 and under). The first soirée sold out, so organizers recommend you purchase tickets early. Tickets are available at the back of all parish churches after Masses, at the St. John Church office (217 York Street) and online here.
Proceeds from the event will provide a scholarship to All Saints Catholic School in Bangor and benefit Knights of Columbus charitable efforts.
